How Your Sponsorship Affects Blue
Food
Blue receives a healthy portion of grain twice each day.
Hay
Blue shares Bermuda hay with all his buddies.
Bedding
Blue's stall is padded with stall mats and filled with a layer of shavings for easy clean up.
Farrier Care
All our equines are seen by a farrier every 6-8 weeks to ensure proper hoof care.
Salt
All our 4-legged stars have loose salt available.
Parasite Control
Blue is dewormed on a rotational schedule every 2-3 months.
Fly Control
Flies are more than a nuisance. They can pose serious health risks. In addition to our aggressive cleaning practices, we treat the entire animal housing area and pasture with fly predators. We have traps and other deterrrents across the property and use fly sprays on individual animals as needed. Blue also has his own set of fly boots to keep flies from biting his legs.
Veterinarian Care
Blue receives regular care with an annual exam and stays up-to-date on shots. Of course, he also gets emergency care when needed.
Costumes & Props
Every star needs props, and Blue is no exception! Blue has a number of saddles, blankets, Roman wear and other attire that varies from show to show.
Treats
What's life without a treat every now and then? Carrots, apples and carefully selected horse treats make Blue smile!
